POWA President Disu honoured with traditional title by Minna Emirate

Recognition of Humanitarian Service

The National President of the Police Officers’ Wives Association (POWA), Chief Mrs. Mutiat Olufunmilola Disu, has been conferred with the traditional title of Jauharar Minna Emirate. The title, which translates to “Precious Daughter of the Minna Emirate,” was awarded in recognition of her humanitarian service and dedicated commitment to the welfare of police officers’ families across Nigeria.

The honour was bestowed on Saturday, July 25, 2026, during a high-profile courtesy visit to the palace of the Emir of Minna. The ceremony served as a formal acknowledgment of the strategic leadership roles played by the POWA president in addressing the social and economic challenges faced by the families of law enforcement officers.
