Chisom Marks 38th Birthday With ₦7.18 Million Nationwide Feeding Outreach

Popular humanitarian and social advocate, Amanda Chisom, has celebrated her 38th birthday with a massive nationwide outreach that saw thousands of vulnerable Nigerians fed across 16 locations, raising over ₦7.18 million within days to support the initiative. The outreach, coordinated through a network of volunteers and supporters popularly known as "The Congress," reached Internally Displaced Persons camps and other underserved communities across the country, with organisers describing it as one of the largest privately coordinated humanitarian feeding programmes carried out simultaneously in multiple locations in 2026.

Speaking at the close of the exercise, Chisom disclosed that a total of ₦7,180,000 was raised for the outreach, while all expenses were settled, leaving a balance of ₦49,000, which she said would be channelled into the group's October humanitarian intervention.

I want to thank everyone who contributed to this cookout. The total money raised is N7,180,000. All expenses have been settled and we have a balance of N49,000 that will be pushed into the October outreach. To raise N7 million in a matter of days is not a small feat. God bless everyone who contributed and replenish your resources greatly.

— Amanda Chisom

Credit Given to the Woman Who Started the Movement

The humanitarian advocate reserved special commendation for Uwaoma Chiagozie Arthur, whom she credited with initiating the movement that eventually grew into a nationwide campaign.

To the young lady who started this powerful movement, Uwaoma Chiagozie Arthur, God bless you. It always takes one person to begin a movement. Thank you for being that person.

According to organisers, the outreach was successfully executed in 16 different locations, with more than 600 people reportedly fed in each location, including children, nursing mothers, the elderly and security personnel on duty. One of the administrators of an IDP camp where the outreach took place described the intervention as impactful and far-reaching.

It was massive. Both old and young, breastfeeding mothers, children and even security personnel on duty all ate and drank to their satisfaction.

Chisom also praised the commitment of volunteers and group leaders who coordinated activities on the ground, singling out the Onitsha team for exceptional organisation and execution, and reflected on the project as a landmark achievement for the Congress movement.

Let it be on record that the Congress did the biggest outreach in Nigeria. Sixteen locations and over 600 people fed in each location. We pulled a feat in 2026.

She added that the success of the exercise has inspired plans for a wider reach in future interventions, saying that with greater funding the next outreach could expand significantly further across the country.

A Personal Milestone: "My 37th Year Tested Me, Tried Me and Ended in Praise"

Beyond the humanitarian impact, the outreach coincided with Chisom's personal milestone as she marked the end of what she described as one of the most challenging years of her life. In an emotional reflection on her journey through age 37, she recounted experiences of trials, disappointments and personal growth, noting that the difficult season ultimately strengthened her faith and sense of purpose.

My 37th year tested me, tried me and ended in praise. I cried so much in the past year that I don't know if I have any more tears. My faith was shaken, but it also helped me discover my purpose and calling.

— Amanda Chisom

She acknowledged making mistakes, facing public and private humiliation, and enduring difficult life lessons, but expressed gratitude for what she described as a new beginning, adding that she has embraced forgiveness, self-discovery and a renewed commitment to her purpose.

The woman moving into her 38th year is completely different. Life has humbled me. Time and seasons have schooled me. But my greatest blessing is the gift of life and the opportunity to start afresh. I have forgiven myself for my mistakes and I am ready for my calling, my purpose, my new season and everything God has in store for me.

— Amanda Chisom

The outreach concluded with widespread commendation from beneficiaries, volunteers and supporters, many of whom described the initiative as a demonstration of the power of collective giving and community service. For Chisom, the success of the programme represented more than a birthday celebration - it was, in her words, the culmination of years of faith, resilience and a commitment to impacting lives across Nigeria.
