Ten students of His Majesty Global School in Ibadan have emerged as malaria ambassadors under the Geneith Health Competition following an interactive public health awareness outreach. The initiative aims to equip young Nigerians with critical health knowledge to drive malaria prevention within their communities.

His Majesty Global School, Ibadan, Oyo State, has produced 10 student malaria ambassadors under the Geneith Health Competition (GHC), as organisers intensify efforts to mobilise young Nigerians in the fight against malaria through health education and awareness.
The students earned free registration for the competition after demonstrating knowledge of health-related issues, particularly malaria prevention and control, during an interactive awareness programme organised at the school in Ido, Ibadan.
The outreach, held on Tuesday, October 20, 2026, was conducted by the Geneith Health Competition team, led by the Managing Director of CEOAFRICA, Prince Cletus Ilobanafor.

During the programme, students participated in an interactive question-and-answer session that tested their understanding of health-related issues, with particular emphasis on malaria prevention and control. The exercise also reinforced the importance of environmental cleanliness, preventive measures and appropriate treatment in reducing the burden of malaria.
At the end of the session, 10 students who answered the questions correctly were rewarded with free registration for the competition and recognised as malaria ambassadors under the initiative.
The students were Olayemi Taiwo, Olayemi Kehinde, Odeniran Covenant and Owolabi Okikijesu from the senior class, while Adewale Aishat, Emucha Nehemiah, Adepegba Inioluwa, Abiodun Precious, Akinyemi David and Afolayan Mary represented the junior class. Their recognition is expected to encourage other students to participate in the competition and promote the dissemination of accurate information about malaria prevention and control within the school and their communities.
Speaking during the event, the school's President and Proprietor, Dr. Babajide Johnson Ojo, expressed appreciation to Prince Cletus Ilobanafor and the organisers for extending the initiative to the institution. Dr. Ojo said the programme provided students with an opportunity to benefit from health education while developing an understanding of their potential roles in addressing public health challenges.
He urged the students to take full advantage of the opportunities offered by the competition, noting that the knowledge and exposure could help them develop careers in the health sector and bring recognition to their school. The proprietor also commended the organisers for what he described as a laudable initiative capable of contributing to Nigeria's aspiration to eliminate malaria through homegrown solutions and increased public awareness.
In her vote of thanks, the school principal, Mrs. Kehinde Isaac, appreciated the organisers for bringing the programme to the institution and commended the students for their cooperation, enthusiasm and active participation throughout the outreach. The programme concluded with group photography sessions involving Prince Cletus Ilobanafor, the school's proprietor and students, with participants photographed class by class.
The Geneith Health Competition is organised by CEOAFRICA, sponsored by Geneith Pharmaceuticals Limited and powered by Coatal Forte Softgel. The nationwide, youth-focused initiative seeks to mobilise young Nigerians as ambassadors in the fight against malaria through health education, academic engagement and incentives.
The initiative is designed to educate and empower students in junior and senior secondary schools, as well as tertiary institutions across Nigeria's 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory, with relevant health knowledge, encouraging them to promote preventive practices among their peers, families and communities.
With His Majesty Global School joining the growing network of participating institutions, the 10 newly recognised malaria ambassadors are expected to extend the campaign's message beyond the classroom. The initiative positions young Nigerians not only as beneficiaries of health education but also as active advocates for healthier communities in support of Nigeria's broader malaria control efforts.
