Great Learners’ Academy in Ipaja, Lagos, is set to host a literary event on October 30, 2026, celebrating the works of Florence Njideka Chukwuonye and promoting artistic expression among pupils.

Great Learners’ Academy, Gowon Estate, Ipaja, Lagos, is set to celebrate the literary works of Florence Njideka Chukwuonye as part of institutional activities designed to promote creativity, literary appreciation, and artistic expression among pupils.
The event, scheduled for Friday, October 30, 2026, at the school hall, will feature Chukwuonye's published works, including Tranquillity in Turbulence and Harvest of Sorrow. The showcase will also feature pupil dramatisations, poetry recitations, pantomime, and creative storytelling sessions.
Organised as part of the school’s Friday Social Activities, the programme will provide pupils with opportunities to explore literature and demonstrate their creative abilities through stage presentations and other artistic media.
According to the organisers, the initiative is designed to celebrate young talents while encouraging pupils to engage actively with literature, drama, and poetry as practical tools for learning, self-expression, and personal development. The curriculum-supporting feature will focus on Chukwuonye’s published texts, with pupils interpreting selected themes through dramatic performance in an encouraging educational environment.
The programme, themed around creativity, talent, and expression, will commence at 1 p.m. at the Great Learners’ Academy School Hall, Plot 125, D Close, 3rd Avenue, Gowon Estate, Ipaja, Lagos.
Great Learners’ Academy was established in 2001 and operates under the motto, “With God Nothing Is Impossible.” The government-approved institution offers academic curricula under the West African Examinations Council (WAEC) and National Examinations Council (NECO) examination frameworks, routinely incorporating social and cultural activities to strengthen pupils' artistic competencies.
