Chukwuma’s life was defined by a deep commitment to justice, integrity, and positive social change. By examining his response to obstacles, the organisers hope to encourage participants to apply these values to contemporary conversations around leadership and public service.
The programme will include the reading of selected excerpts from Against All Odds, followed by moderated discussions on Chukwuma’s achievements. These conversations are expected to explore how he established his reputation as a formidable social entrepreneur and the methods he used to advocate for human rights across the continent.
The initiative provides an opportunity for a diverse audience, including readers and members of the public, to engage with the story of a man whose work was characterised by a steadfast commitment to the public good. The foundation believes that revisiting these experiences is essential for maintaining the momentum of the social causes Chukwuma championed during his lifetime.
ICCEF has extended an invitation to journalists and media organisations to cover the event, emphasizing the importance of sharing these insights with a wider audience. The foundation is particularly interested in ensuring that the lessons of resilience and service reach those seeking inspiration for their own contributions to society.
The gathering is expected to attract a variety of stakeholders, including those interested in entrepreneurship, human rights advocacy, and social impact. By creating spaces where Chukwuma’s experiences can be discussed, the foundation continues its effort to keep alive the values and ideals that the late advocate embodied throughout his career.
