Cancer now kills more Africans than AIDS, malaria, TB combined — FG
The Federal Government says cancer has become Africa's deadliest public health threat, with new figures showing the disease now kills more people on the continent than HIV/AIDS, malaria and tuberculosis combined. Officials and experts at the Best of ASCO Africa 2026 Conference in Abuja called for coordinated research, affordable treatment and stronger health systems to curb rising deaths.
