Leadership Hierarchy of the Campaign Council

President Bola Tinubu has officially appointed Senator Abdulaziz Yari as the Director-General of his 2027 re-election campaign. This strategic move establishes the formal leadership structure for the President's bid for a second term in office.

Alongside the Director-General, Senator Adams Oshiomhole has been appointed as the Deputy Director-General in charge of mobilisation. The appointments are intended to provide a solid organisational foundation for the President’s campaign activities ahead of the next general elections.

Administrative and Secretariat Appointments

Under the new arrangement, the President’s Chief of Staff will serve as the Deputy Director-General in charge of administration. This role will ensure a direct link between the presidency's administrative arm and the campaign's operational needs.

Governor Hope Uzodimma has been named as the Secretary of the campaign council. To support the secretariat's functions, the All Progressives Congress (APC) National Secretary, Senator Ajibola Bashiru, and Hadiza Bala-Usman will serve as Deputy Secretary and Assistant Secretary, respectively.

Profiles and Strategic Coordination

Senator Abdulaziz Yari, a former Governor of Zamfara State and a veteran legislator, will oversee the campaign’s broad strategy as Director-General. His experience in state and federal politics is expected to guide the council's nationwide operations.

Senator Adams Oshiomhole, who previously served as the Governor of Edo State and National Chairman of the APC, will be responsible for the mobilization of party members and voters. These appointments bring together influential party figures and high-ranking government officials to coordinate the President’s re-election efforts across the federation.
