Command expresses condolences
The Customs Area Controller, Ogun I Area Command, Deputy Comptroller OO Afeni, has expressed deep sorrow and heartfelt condolences over the transition of the Onipokia of Ipokia Kingdom, Oba Yisa Olaniyan, Adelakun.
The message was issued on behalf of the management and entire officers of the Command. It described the late monarch as a revered traditional ruler whose reign was marked by service to peace, culture and communal harmony.
According to the statement, the monarch played a significant role in advancing the development of Ipokia Kingdom and Ogun State. The Command said his passing represents a painful loss to the kingdom and to institutions that worked closely with him.
Tribute to the late monarch's legacy
The statement described Oba Yisa Olaniyan, Adelakun, as a pillar of peace, a custodian of rich cultural heritage, and a champion of communal harmony.
It added that throughout his reign, he demonstrated an unwavering commitment to the development of Ipokia Kingdom and Ogun State at large. The Command linked his leadership to sustained cooperation and understanding within the community.
The tribute also highlighted the monarch's broader influence beyond traditional leadership, noting his role in strengthening relationships between public institutions and the people.
Role in border security and community relations
Reflecting on the loss, Deputy Comptroller Afeni said the monarch was a critical stakeholder in efforts to maintain border security and economic stability in the region.

Prayers for the royal family and kingdom
The Command extended its deepest sympathies to the immediate royal family, the Ipokia Traditional Council, and the entire law abiding citizens of Ipokia Kingdom.
It also prayed that the Almighty would grant the royal family and the people of Ipokia the fortitude to bear what it described as an irreparable loss.
